Our History
The Sapthagiri School and College of Nursing is a constituent institute of Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center under the aegis of Sri Srinivasa Educational & Charitable Trust, Bangalore, which was laid down with the sole intention of rendering quality health care catering to the needs of population in an around Bangalore North. College of Nursing was started with Baccalureate Program in 2015 with a vision to bring out competent, compassionate and devoted Nurses to the Society. The institute in pursuit of its vision provides outstanding educational and clinical experience to its students. In the year 2018 Diploma in General Nursing started with an intake of 60 seats.
Sapthagiri College and School has been formally approved by the Govt of Karnartaka and has been recognized by INC ,Delhi , the RGHUS and the Karnartaka Nursing Council.

Aura: Sports and Cultural events
Sports and cultural extravaganza is offered to the students year round but due to covid and after a hiatus of one year the “AURA” was conducted from 20/5/22 to 04/6/22 with healthy competition among the students. Varied cultural and sports events were planned for exhibiting the talents of students. Most of the students participated with much enthusiasm and gaiety.

Annual Day:
The Annual day was held on 06/06/2022 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall. The day’s event started in the Morning, The formal inauguration of the celebration was authorized by Dr. Jayanthi V, Dean and Principal SIMS&RC, followed by cultural programs which was exhibited by the students and the winners of Aura: Sports and Cultural activities were conferred with awards and prizes
Graduation Day:
Graduation ceremony is always a special occasion- the culmination of years of hard work, the actualization of goals attained and the acknowledgement of success achieved. The ceremony was held on 23/06/22 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall. Dr. G. Dayanands Academic topper award for Nursing was awarded to Ms. Chumki Bera . GNM. All the other graduates got their certificate and mementos.
Lamp Lighting Ceremony
The lamp lighting ceremony formally recognizes the students' entry into the nursing profession as the lamp symbolizes the light that a nurse becomes to her patients and as a symbol of hope and comfort to those suffering was inferred on 16th July 2022 for the 7th and 4th batch of B.Sc and GNM respectively
